Job Overview:

The Capital Construction Manager Principal oversees extensive and intricate healthcare construction initiatives, ensuring adherence to established project parameters and financial constraints. This role is pivotal in managing user requirements, formulating project strategies, and juggling multiple assignments concurrently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer large-scale healthcare construction projects, safeguarding the project's defined scope and objectives.
  • Evaluate and verify project estimates during the design phase to ensure budget compliance.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination among stakeholders and consultant teams regarding project scopes, contracts, and timelines.
  • Implement risk management strategies to address design and safety concerns.
  • Lead project teams towards successful completion, aligning with institutional goals and stakeholder expectations.

Additional Duties:

  • Conduct special projects and studies as directed by senior leadership.
  • Represent the department at various planning and construction events.
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Windows/Office, SAP, and Critical Path Method (CPM).
  • Extensive experience in managing complex healthcare projects, demonstrating financial acumen and compliance with safety regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction practices, contract law, budgeting, and project management methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, or Engineering.
  • Master's Degree and relevant certifications are advantageous.
