Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Client Service Specialist to join our Anatomic Pathology team at The University of Chicago Medicine. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service, ensuring seamless specimen processing, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and accurate client communication, resolving issues and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
  • Verify and enter client orders into our laboratory information system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient specimen processing and testing.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including client contact information, specimen tracking, and quality control data.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, preferably in anatomic pathology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
