Job Summary
The Department of Pathology at the University of IL Chicago is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Professor of Clinical Pathology/Physician Surgeon to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for teaching, training, and advising medical students, residents, and fellows in the fields of Pathology, Dermatopathology, and Hematopathology.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical patient care in oncologic and non-oncologic Dermatopathology and Hematopathology to a diverse patient population.
- Participate in and collaborate on sub-specialty diagnostic services, including molecular pathology, digital pathology, HLA, and informatics.
- Conduct medical science research, publish and present scientific research findings, and perform University service and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD) or its foreign equivalent.
- One (1) year of Dermatopathology fellowship training and one (1) year of Hematopathology fellowship training.
- Valid IL med license or eligibility for an Illinois medical license.
- Board certification or eligibility for certification in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology.
