We are seeking a highly skilled Client Service Specialist to join our Anatomic Pathology team at The University of Chicago Medicine. As a key member of our laboratory outreach team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients, physicians, and staff in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality service to laboratory outreach clients, including phone, email, and live chat support.
- Perform accessioning of consultation and referral materials, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Support the coordination and mailing of referral tests to external labs and triage of specimens to in-house laboratories.
- Verify and review orders, generate specimen collection labels, and direct samples to appropriate laboratory sections.
- Respond to telephone inquiries for test results and other information, providing excellent customer service.
- Assist with daily operations of outreach collections facilities, following up with client requests and issues.
- Associates degree in clinical laboratory science, life sciences, or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Knowledge and ability to handle and prepare various laboratory specimen types.
- Ability to use laboratory/hospital information systems and automated/conventional laboratory equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
- Superior customer service skills, with a focus on positive language, clear communication, and phone etiquette.
