Job Summary:

Free People is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Account Executive to join our NYC Wholesale Showroom team. As a Junior Account Executive, you will play a critical role in maximizing profitability within department store accounts by completing all necessary tasks and supporting the team in managing accounts on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Support:
    • Drive sales and margin expectations of owned accounts by analyzing sales data and identifying opportunities for growth.
    • Prepare for market appointments by ensuring all historical data is up-to-date and samples are ready for presentations.
    • Perform general order maintenance, including reviewing oversolds and priority code updates to maximize shippable orders.
    • Complete all account copy information, including COM, COO, care and content, and CA pricing if applicable.
    • Ensure all style information is correctly loaded into GXS prior to EDI timing.
    • Reformat and check style information for accuracy on all sized orders received post-market to send to CS.
    • Pull data for weekly sales recaps and review weekly best sellers to identify opportunities for immediate reorders.
    • Review.coms to ensure all styles are up-to-date and MDs are accurate.
  • Account Management:
    • Manage and maintain accurate records of account information, including sales data, order history, and customer contact information.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with department store buyers and sales teams.
    • Communicate effectively with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
  • Administrative Tasks:
    • Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, report generation, and filing.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of sales strategies and initiatives.
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of experience in apparel wholesale, preferably in a sales or account management role.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with systems such as BlueCherry, Nuorder, Skypad, and Microsoft Office.
