About the Role

Hannaford Supermarkets is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Market Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and maintaining a high level of product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and direct a team of meat department associates to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve sales performance and customer engagement.
  • Product Knowledge and Merchandising
    • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of meat products, including preparation methods and nutritional information.
    • Ensure that all meat department displays and signage are visually appealing and accurately reflect product information.
  • Customer Service and Engagement
    • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the meat department, including inventory management, ordering, and scheduling.
    • Ensure that all departmental policies and procedures are followed.
Requirements
  • Leadership and Management Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership or management role in a retail or food service environment.
  • Product Knowledge and Merchandising
    • Strong knowledge of meat products, including preparation methods and nutritional information.
  • Customer Service and Engagement
    • Excellent customer service skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

The Meat Market Sales Manager will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with frequent exposure to meat products and equipment. The position requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 pounds, and frequent bending and reaching.
