Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to manage the accounting functions for our local operations. If you thrive in a dynamic, family-oriented environment, this role may be the perfect fit for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring precision, investigating discrepancies, tracking payments, and preparing bank deposits.
  • Manage Accounts Payable functions, ensuring accuracy, proper coding to GL accounts, timely payments, and maintaining vendor W-9 records.
  • Administer bi-weekly payroll processing, maintain the timekeeping system, resolve pay discrepancies, and track employee changes.
  • Assist with corporate-driven employee HR and benefits management, ensuring employee records are current.
  • Oversee local bank accounts, including petty cash management.
  • Ensure timely completion of month-end processes as defined by corporate guidelines.
  • Support the analysis and preparation of Fuel Tax Reports and Sales Tax Reports for suppliers and state agencies.
  • Contribute to budget and forecasting activities.
  • Assist in addressing inquiries from corporate accounting personnel regarding financial outcomes and special reporting requests.

  • PC proficiency is essential; experience with QuickBooks is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is also beneficial.

This position reports directly to the General Manager.

Work Environment

This role is situated in a professional setting.

Position Type and Hours

This is a full-time hourly position.

Travel Requirements

Minimal to no travel is anticipated for this role.

Education and Experience
  • A degree is not mandatory, but prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping is crucial.
  • Experience in the FBO or aviation sector is a plus, though not required.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in financial reporting or general ledger functions is necessary.
