Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Operations Supervisor to join our team at Mainsail Lodging and Development. As a key member of our Food and Beverage management team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service to all guests, developing and maintaining a strong team environment, and supporting the day-to-day operations of our Food and Beverage outlets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the daily function of the restaurant operations, including ensuring that scheduled reservations are complete and set up accurately.
  • Maintain professionalism with team members, managers, and guests, and ensure that all team members are in proper uniform and approved attire.
  • Open and close shifts in accordance with the manager's checklist, and ensure that all necessary tasks are completed.
  • Greet guests, initiate conversations, and solicit feedback from guests to ensure exceptional service.
  • Handle daily scheduling of team members and adjust as necessary to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Implement proper tools for running shifts, including schedules, floor plans, reservations, and other necessary documents.
  • Solve team member issues, such as call-outs or other daily issues, and find solutions to guest issues, such as last-minute changes in reservations or cancellations.
  • Stay on the floor during meal periods, apply discounts, assist with Micros and billing issues, and make decisions on voids and complimentary charges.
  • Monitor and maintain tables, have knowledge of all menu items, including prep time, sauces, allergies, and accompaniments.
  • Monitor hours, watch the flow of business, and make cuts as necessary to ensure service levels are maintained.
  • Responsible for cleanliness and organization of the service station and dining room.
  • Train new hires on Innovation's service standards, menu knowledge, set up, and closing procedures.
  • Ensure team members are aware of all applicable laws regarding alcoholic beverages, and attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' drinking.
  • Assist in maintaining a motivated, interactive, and positive team, and demonstrate positive communication with team members.
  • Maintain fair and consistent coaching and counseling, and attend meetings as necessary.
  • Communicate and maintain positive inter-departmental relations, and check identification of customers to verify age requirements for the purchase of alcohol.
  • Communicate with managers of any issues, and perform other duties as assigned by F&B Managers or Director of Operations.
Qualification Standards
  • High School diploma or higher.
  • Previous Hospitality Food and Beverage experience required.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to use technology, such as tablets and iPads.
  • Experience with Micros POS and OpenTable restaurant management software preferred.
