Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of a Bloomingdale's Sales Professional is to guide and inspire customers, helping them to express their style creatively. With a commitment to exceptional service, a passion for fashion, and a strong knowledge of products, they build and maintain long-term relationships with clients both in-store and online. Sales Professionals are expected to create an engaging shopping experience through meaningful conversations, welcoming interactions, and a genuine interest in customer needs. They are also responsible for maintaining operational excellence by adhering to merchandising standards and ensuring the sales floor is well-kept.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience for customers, both in-store and online
  • Drive sales by effectively utilizing technology to engage with clients
  • Participate in merchandising and operational tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on keeping others informed
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities, capable of collaborating across various functions
  • Creative and strategic thinking to meet customer needs
  • Ability to interpret instructional documents such as safety rules and procedural manuals
  • Flexibility to work retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

  • Position involves prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • May require reaching, crouching, kneeling, and color vision
  • Frequent use of technology, including handheld devices and cash registers
  • Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs regularly
