Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of a Bloomingdale's Sales Professional is to inspire and guide customers in making style choices that energize their lives. With a commitment to exceptional service, a keen interest in fashion, and a strong knowledge of products, they build and maintain long-term relationships with clients both in-store and online. Sales Professionals create an outstanding customer experience through engaging conversations, ensuring a welcoming and inquisitive atmosphere that fosters genuine connections. They actively engage on the sales floor, assess customer needs, promote our Loyalty programs, and support the shopping journey from beginning to end. Additionally, Sales Professionals are tasked with operational excellence by utilizing our fulfillment systems and maintaining merchandise standards and store presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience for customers, both in-store and online, while nurturing relationships
  • Drive sales by leveraging technology and engaging with clients
  • Contribute to merchandising and operational tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Strong communication skills, with a focus on keeping others informed and presenting information clearly
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities, capable of collaborating across various functions and levels
  • Creative and strategic thinking to meet customer needs
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructional documents, including safety guidelines and procedural manuals
  • Flexibility to work retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

  • Position requires extended periods of standing and walking throughout the store
  • May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, and color vision
  • Frequent use of technology, including computers and handheld devices, is necessary for job functions
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 lbs
