Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of a Bloomingdale's Sales Professional is to guide and inspire customers, helping them to see style as a creative outlet. With a commitment to exceptional service, a keen interest in fashion, and strong product knowledge, they build and nurture long-term client relationships both in-store and online. As a Sales Professional, they create a memorable customer experience through engaging conversations, always welcoming and inquisitive, fostering the human connection that customers seek while shopping. Sales Professionals actively engage on the sales floor, identifying customer needs, promoting our Loyalty programs, and enhancing the shopping experience from beginning to end. They are also responsible for maintaining operational excellence by utilizing our fulfillment system and adhering to merchandise presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster an enjoyable and seamless shopping experience both in-store and online, building and nurturing customer relationships
  • Drive sales through in-store and online interactions by leveraging technology
  • Participate in merchandising and operational tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong communication skills, valuing transparency and effectively conveying information
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities, capable of collaborating across various functions and levels
  • Creative and strategic thinker focused on meeting customer needs
  • Ability to interpret instructional documents such as safety guidelines and procedural manuals
  • Flexibility to work retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

  • Position requires extended periods of standing and walking throughout the store
  • May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, and color vision
  • Frequent use of technology, including handheld devices and cash registers
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 lbs
