Job Title: Senior Principal Scientist, Pharmacometrics Leader

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Scientist, Pharmacometrics Leader to join our Clinical Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics (CPP) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing clinical pharmacology strategies for the development of new compounds, including interactions with regulatory agencies and collaboration with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop model-informed drug development strategies using quantitative methods to integrate knowledge of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and patient characteristics.
  • Plan, perform, and/or provide oversight for appropriate analyses of clinical translation, dose/exposure-response relationships, and study designs throughout drug development.
  • Responsible for planning, summarization, and interpretation of results of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic analyses with respect to their impact on a development program and clinical use.
  • Carry out functional responsibilities in accordance with applicable SOPs, regulatory requirements, and Johnson & Johnson Credo principles.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical Pharmacology, Biomedical Engineering, or relevant Biological Sciences, with 9 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biomedical, or related field required.
  • PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical Pharmacology, Biomedical Engineering, or relevant Biological Sciences, with 6 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biomedical, or related field preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and model-informed drug development.
  • Experience with modeling tools, such as NONMEM, R, Gastroplus, Simcyp, Winnonlin, and Matlab.
  • Working knowledge of US, European, and Asian regulatory requirements and guidelines.

  • Competitive salary range: $135,000 to $232,300 (US) or $166,000 to $267,145 (San Francisco Bay Area).
