ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Primary Contact for Grant Management:

Act as the principal contact for evaluation, research, and resolution of grant management issues.


Data Management:

Oversee, input, review, and authorize fiscal data within the state's accounting system.


Report Preparation:

Generate ad hoc fiscal reports utilizing data from the accounting system.


Budget Development and Coordination:

Formulate and modify budgets, coordinating funds for employment and training initiatives.


Grant Coordination and Compliance:

Manage grant activities and monitor expenditures to ensure adherence to funding stipulations.


Accounting Systems Management:

Develop and implement accounting systems and procedures to accommodate changes in grant requirements.


GAAP Adherence:

Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and conduct annual year-end closing activities.

KNOWLEDGE:

Organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively are critical, as is the capability to analyze information and draw conclusions. Familiarity with financial management software is required, as well as the ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience: 4-6 years of progressive experience in finance or a Bachelor's Degree in Finance with 1-2 years of relevant experience.


PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Minimal travel required, 0-2 days per year.
