Job Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that our esteemed clients receive the essential products they require to expand their operations daily. This role thrives in a vibrant environment, supported by a dedicated team that prioritizes efficiency and accuracy. The primary duties include overseeing daily warehouse operations, which encompass receiving and processing incoming stock, fulfilling orders, and managing inventory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute various warehousing tasks such as loading, checking, order picking, and shipping.
  • Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments.
  • Ensure timely and correct fulfillment of customer orders and branch transfers.
  • Utilize material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to manage stock and optimize storage.
  • Maintain equipment and uphold cleanliness standards, guiding the team on best practices to ensure a safe and productive workplace.
  • Assist in inventory management and conduct cycle counts.
  • Participate in the procurement of standard stock items, suggesting additions or removals as necessary.
  • Support the training and development of warehouse staff, monitoring attendance and performance.
  • Maintain courteous communication with customers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols.
  • Ability to lift heavy items.
  • Proficient in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Skilled in maneuvering large vehicles in confined spaces.
  • Knowledge of automated systems.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Customer-focused and team-oriented.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two to three years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands

This position requires frequent standing and the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

  • Typical settings include offices, light industrial, commercial, utility, and manufacturing environments. The noise level is generally moderate.
