Job Summary

The Associate Project Manager (APM) plays a critical role in the successful execution of projects and proposals in the Energy Sector. This position is responsible for managing projects and proposals of medium complexity, ensuring timely and comprehensive delivery of client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project teams in the successful execution of projects of medium complexity, acting as primary project advocate and point of communication.
  • Assist Project Managers in the execution of complex projects, acting as primary support in the delivery of project management deliverables.
  • Develop project proposals for projects of medium complexity, including project execution plans, estimation, and compilation.
  • Manage project resources, ensuring adequate resources are assigned to the project, monitoring and reporting of man-hours against budget.
  • Ensure project financial management, including budgeted costs and profits, timely and comprehensive change order management, and establishment of project cash flows.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules for projects of medium complexity.
  • Understand and implement the requirements of the Power Delivery Quality Control Program.
  • Administer project documentation, including contracts, invoices, meeting minutes, and project reports.
  • Effectively communicate with clients, project teams, and TRC management, including timely and accurate internal and external reporting.
  • Demonstrate safety leadership and adherence to TRC and client safety policies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business, or Construction Management from an accredited school or university.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Coordinator or Associate Project Manager; 4 years preferred.
  • Demonstrated communication skills to deal with internal and external clients.
  • Strong attention to detail to quality control projects and submit required deliverables.
  • Experience with appropriate software tools, including Microsoft Office and MS Project.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects of medium complexity.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Project Management, Project Controls, or Construction Management.

Compensation

Compensation will vary based on experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Eligibility for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program, contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators.
