Position Overview


The Project Management Associate (PMA) plays a crucial role in overseeing projects and proposals of moderate complexity within the Energy Sector, specifically in Power Delivery, Field Services, Construction Management, and System Studies.

The PMA may also support a Project Manager (PM) in coordinating more intricate projects and proposals, ensuring effective management from proposal initiation to project completion.

The PMA is responsible for resource allocation, ensuring timely delivery of client outputs while adhering to budgetary constraints and project timelines.

Key responsibilities include managing project budgets and schedules, maintaining accurate project accounting, and ensuring exceptional customer service through effective communication and reporting.

Key Responsibilities


The Project Management Associate is tasked with leading project teams to successfully execute moderate complexity projects, serving as the primary advocate and communication liaison.

In addition, the PMA will assist Project Managers in executing complex projects, providing essential support in delivering project management objectives.

  • Develop project proposals for moderate complexity initiatives and assist PMs with complex project proposals, ensuring clarity in project scope and requirements.
  • Facilitate proposal development, including project execution plans, estimations, and timely delivery of all necessary documentation.
  • Coordinate legal reviews with TRC Legal Staff prior to contract finalization.
  • Manage project resources, ensuring adequate staffing, monitoring man-hours against budgets, and overseeing subcontractor management.
Financial Management

Ensure project budgets are adhered to, with a focus on maximizing profitability and managing change orders effectively. Maintain project cash flows and facilitate efficient billing in accordance with company accounting practices.

Schedule Management

Develop and maintain project schedules for moderate complexity projects, ensuring adherence to quality control standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Administration

Capture and organize all project documentation, including contracts, invoices, meeting notes, and reports.

Communicate effectively with clients, project teams, and TRC management, ensuring timely and accurate reporting and facilitating productive project meetings.

Safety Commitment

Demonstrate a commitment to safety by adhering to TRC and client safety policies and promoting a culture of safety leadership.

Qualifications


Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Construction Management from an accredited institution is required.

Experience:
A minimum of 2 years in a Project Coordinator or Associate Project Manager role is required; 4 years is preferred. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential for quality control and deliverable submission.

Knowledge:
Familiarity with Project Management, Project Controls, or Construction Management is preferred.
