Position Overview

Insight Global is seeking a dedicated Site Operations Supervisor to join a prominent environmental construction firm. This role involves overseeing field personnel, equipment, subcontractors, and material logistics to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily operations by facilitating morning meetings with the Site Superintendent to discuss site hazards and safety protocols.
  • Plan and organize weekly and daily work schedules, determining crew size based on project requirements.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and specialized tools necessary for project completion.
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential work delays and innovate installation methods.
  • Maintain accurate records for field payroll, material receipts, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Monitor project timelines and budgets, providing regular updates to management.
  • Enforce safety protocols and conduct daily safety briefings to promote a secure work environment.
  • Implement quality assurance measures and prepare necessary reports.
  • Address performance issues by managing workforce effectively and terminating underperforming workers when necessary.
  • Identify and communicate any out-of-scope work or changes in the work environment to management.
  • Coordinate with client representatives and fulfill additional duties as assigned by management.
Project Details

Projects may vary in duration from two weeks to six months, with locations throughout the Bay Area. For projects requiring travel beyond a specified distance, compensation for mileage and drive time will be provided.

Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience in pipefitting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A minimum of five years in the construction industry, with experience in a leadership role.
  • Ability to interpret specifications and drawings relevant to contract work.
  • Experience operating heavy machinery, specifically excavators over 80,000 pounds.
  • Practical grading experience.
  • Physical capability to move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools.
  • Possession of a valid US Driver's license and reliable transportation.
