Key Responsibilities
Oversee a team of Air Traffic Control Specialists responsible for executing air traffic control duties within a specified geographic region.
- Plan and allocate tasks to subordinate staff.
- Establish work priorities and timelines.
- Authorize leave and provide guidance on work-related and administrative issues.
- Assess employee performance and suggest performance evaluations.
- Address and resolve employee grievances, escalating more serious issues to higher management as necessary.
- Identify training and development needs for staff.
- Seek opportunities to enhance productivity and quality of work.
- Adjust staffing and operational procedures in line with higher-level resource decisions.
- Set and monitor goals and objectives for the team.

Employment Conditions
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after a specified date.
- Submission of specific documentation is required.
- Participation in designated or random drug testing is necessary.
Qualifications
Applicants must have specialized Air Traffic experience in either military or civilian air traffic settings, demonstrating progressively responsible experience that qualifies them for the position.
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
1) Have held an FAA 2152 FG-14 or higher position for at least one year; OR
2) Have been facility rated or area certified for a minimum of one year in an ATS facility; OR
3) Have served in a MSS role for at least one year in an ATS facility.
All qualifications must be fulfilled by the closing date of this announcement.
Education
Education cannot substitute for experience.
