Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor: Global Express

The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the assessment, strategizing, execution, and administration of maintenance for one Bombardier Global Express aircraft and two Airbus helicopters (H125-B3 and H145-D3). Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance.
This role entails providing expert recommendations to uphold the aircraft's market value and maintenance associated with asset management, ensuring the airworthiness of the assigned aircraft. The Supervisor is also responsible for staying current with technical proficiency and educational requirements related to aircraft and regulatory standards. A flexible work schedule is essential to accommodate flight operations, which may involve occasional travel, both domestically and internationally. The role also involves maintaining relationships within the industry, business, company, and clientele.
Reporting Structure
The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor will report directly to the Director of Maintenance and the Aircraft & Crew Manager (ACM).
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the airworthiness of aircraft as stipulated within regulatory frameworks by reviewing permanent records and maintenance tracking systems, FAA Airworthiness Directives, and manufacturer Service Bulletins.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of federal regulations, industry best practices, OSHA, and IS-BAO standards.
- Adhere to internal company policies and procedures as outlined in the Air Carrier Operations Manual and other relevant documentation.
- Effectively communicate with the ACM, DOM, clients, vendors, and other internal departments.
- Promote a safe working environment and report any unsafe conditions proactively.
- Conduct quality unscheduled maintenance, preventative maintenance, and inspections in line with company standards, federal regulations, and industry best practices to achieve optimal reliability.
- Attend all departures and arrivals of the assigned aircraft.
- Troubleshoot reported issues and manage complex technical challenges.
- Oversee the management of maintenance inspection requirements in accordance with federal regulations.
- Provide technical support as necessary for the assigned aircraft.
- Review and ensure accuracy in all required entries in aircraft logbooks and permanent records, maintaining compliance with company and FAA standards.
- Update and interact with the Computerized Maintenance Tracking Program.
- Procure necessary parts and materials.
- Act as a collaborative team member, supporting crew and maintenance colleagues as needed, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills, ensuring proper grammar and clarity in all correspondence.
- Fulfill additional duties and assignments as directed by management.
- Maintain a valid US passport and necessary vaccinations to support all aircraft missions.
- Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate (A&P) is required.
- A valid driver's license is necessary, with a preference for a clean driving record.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in aviation maintenance is required, with a focus on similar aircraft preferred.
- At least three (3) years of hands-on experience in corporate aircraft maintenance on similar aircraft is preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of maintenance planning, including oversight of inspections, repairs, and modifications at aircraft service centers.
- A flexible working schedule is essential.
- Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds and performing physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, squatting, and standing for extended periods.
- A curious, lifelong learner with a motivational attitude.
- Two (2) years of college or equivalent technical training in a related field is preferred.
- Experience with Airbus Helicopters and Bombardier corporate aircraft is advantageous.
The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor may be required to perform on-call duties and travel without prior notice, including working nights, weekends, and holidays. This position is classified as DOT Safety Sensitive, necessitating participation in a random drug testing program.
Compensation: $140,000-$200,000/year, depending on experience.
