As we expand and diversify our service offerings, we are in search of a Human Resources Generalist to enhance our business initiatives. The Human Resources Generalist will play a crucial role in the daily operations of the Human Resources (HR) department, which includes recruiting and interviewing candidates, managing payroll, benefits, and leave, as well as upholding company policies and practices. This position operates within a dynamic, growing mental health practice with a predominantly remote workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and optional training, continuing education, and work assessments, including safety and anti-harassment training.
  • Collaborate closely with the Talent Acquisition team to facilitate recruitment efforts.
  • Conduct background checks and verify employee eligibility.
  • Assist with payroll processing on a bi-monthly basis.
  • Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition initiatives.
  • Execute routine tasks necessary for administering HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, and performance management.
  • Address employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, reviewing policies to maintain adherence.
  • Stay informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR and employment law.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough understanding of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Experience with HRIS and talent management systems is a plus.
  • At least one year of experience in human resource management or payroll is preferred.
  • Experience in the medical or mental health field is advantageous.

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to navigate various departments within the organization.
