As we expand and diversify our service offerings, we are in search of a Human Resources Generalist to enhance our business initiatives. The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for the daily operations of the Human Resources (HR) department, which includes recruiting and interviewing candidates, managing payroll, benefits, and leave, as well as upholding company policies and practices. This role is situated within a dynamic, growing mental health practice, primarily composed of remote employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, including safety training and professional licensure.
  • Collaborate closely with the Talent Acquisition team to facilitate recruitment efforts.
  • Conduct background checks and verify employee eligibility.
  • Assist with payroll processing on a bimonthly schedule.
  • Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition initiatives.
  • Perform routine tasks necessary for administering HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leave management, and employee relations.
  • Address employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex matters to appropriate personnel.
  • Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, reviewing policies for adherence.
  • Stay informed on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in all interactions.
  • Thorough understanding of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
  • At least one year of experience in human resource management or payroll is preferred.
  • Experience in the Medical or Mental Health field is advantageous.

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
  • Capability to navigate various departments within the organization.
