The Human Resource Generalist will play a crucial role in the daily operations of the Human Resource (HR) department, which includes recruiting and interviewing candidates, managing payroll, benefits, and leave, as well as upholding company policies and procedures. This position is situated within a dynamic, growing mental health practice, primarily comprising remote employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, including safety training and professional licensure.
  • Collaborate closely with the Talent Acquisition team to enhance recruitment efforts.
  • Conduct background checks and verify employee eligibility.
  • Assist with payroll processing on a bimonthly basis.
  • Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition initiatives.
  • Perform routine tasks to administer and execute HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, and performance management.
  • Address employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex matters to appropriate staff.
  • Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, reviewing policies to maintain adherence.
  • Stay informed on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR and employment law.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality are essential.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and talent management systems is a plus.
  • At least one year of experience in human resource management or payroll is preferred.
  • Experience in the Medical or Mental Health field is advantageous.

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to navigate various departments within the organization.
