The Senior Project Operations Analyst will play a pivotal role in facilitating the financial and commercial evaluation of the organization’s rapidly expanding portfolio of distributed solar and battery storage initiatives across the nation. The primary duties will encompass developing comprehensive project cost assessments to analyze all stages of the project lifecycle, along with evaluating procurement expenses, logistics, and resource allocations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish metrics to monitor the financial performance of both existing and emerging revenue streams.
  • Prepare monthly reports for dissemination to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Design tools to automate data analysis and regular reporting for management, lenders, investors, and auditors.
  • Create presentations that aid management teams in comprehending monthly and year-to-date performance results.
  • Assist with ad hoc inquiries for performance data from management, lenders, investors, and auditors.
  • Develop predictive financial models to support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
  • Enhance portfolio profitability by identifying avenues to increase revenue, reduce costs, and accelerate cash flow.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks to future cash flows from operational assets.
  • Conduct industry-specific research and analyze available data to forecast trends.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or statistics.
  • Demonstrated experience as a financial analyst.
  • Strong proficiency in spreadsheets, reporting, and financial software applications (required: Excel and PowerPoint; preferred: SalesForce, Adaptive Planning, NetSuite).
  • Exceptional reporting, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Aptitude for working with large datasets.
  • Strategic thinking and organizational capabilities.
  • Proven analytical and financial modeling expertise.
  • Experience in renewable energy, particularly with distributed solar and battery storage assets, is advantageous.
