Overview and ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary
We are in search of a dedicated Customer Care Coordinator to fulfill a vital role within our organization. This position is responsible for handling incoming calls in a call center environment and accurately inputting customer information into our systems.

- Promptly responds to telephone inquiries and manages the intake of orders.
- Collects co-payments and coinsurance for services provided.
- Evaluates the most effective methods for delivering services while considering reimbursement and cost implications for the organization.
- Informs customers about product availability and options.
- Ensures empathetic and positive interactions with customers, caregivers, referral sources, and payers.
- Makes informed decisions based on customer needs, vendor pricing, and reimbursement possibilities.
- Establishes new customer accounts, processes work orders, and monitors account accuracy and completion.
- Addresses customer concerns and complaints by identifying issues and coordinating appropriate corrective actions to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Responds quickly and professionally to inquiries from patients and referral sources regarding equipment and supply guidelines.
- Recommends additional products or services relevant to the customer's diagnosis.
- Performs other assigned duties as necessary.
Employment Requirements
- Background investigation (company-wide).
- Drug screening (when applicable).
- Valid driver's license in the state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable).
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience with medical equipment is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical billing practices and reimbursement processes is preferred.
- Experience in the medical field and administrative record management is preferred.
- One year of related work experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately.
- Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written.
- Ability to interpret various forms of communication (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening, and visual).
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Strong multi-tasking abilities with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, organized, and proficient in time management and problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in email communication and internet navigation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Competent in using office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, printers, and computers/tablets.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift and carry office equipment as needed.
- Requires lifting (minimum of 35 pounds) and transporting patient equipment.
- May involve on-call responsibilities, driving a company vehicle, and delivering to patients' homes.
- Involves contact with patients and equipment, with potential exposure to contagious pathogens.
- Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking, and listening.
- Requires close vision for reading small print on computers and paperwork.
