We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Referral Specialist to join our dynamic team at Safeguard Healthcare. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless patient care through effective management of referral processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming referral requests from various healthcare providers.
- Ensure timely communication with patients and medical staff regarding referral statuses.
- Document all referral activities accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Coordinate with external facilities to obtain necessary authorizations for imaging and other services.
- Organize and maintain a systematic approach to track all referrals and related documentation.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office setting, preferably in a referral coordination role.
