Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Referral Coordinator to join our team at Coloplast. As a Referral Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth processing of referrals from healthcare professionals and other referral sources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Referral Processing: Process referrals from external departments, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed within our customer management database.
  • Customer Record Management: Organize and update customer records by reviewing and validating relevant information received about customers and loading it into the database.
  • Communication: Complete inbound and outbound telephone calls in response to referrals as documented on correspondence or healthcare professional referrals.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify medical insurance benefits for new and existing patients, including changes in insurance and reactivated patients.
  • Documentation Management: Review each medical record received for missing documentation, check physician's notes for appropriate diagnosis, and verify signatures on paperwork.
  • Issue Resolution: Research and resolve issues regarding customer orders, communicating with healthcare professionals and insurance companies as needed.
  • Record Keeping: Complete and/or update all pertinent records in our company database using corporate compliance guidelines.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Establish and maintain effective knowledge of policies, procedures, and skills required to complete job duties.
  • Quality and Quantity Performance: Exceed quality and quantity performance standards.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and/or co-workers.
  • Technical Skills: Skilled typing ability and knowledge of personal computers, hardware, software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite), and related applications and systems.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in a contact center.
  • Language: English/Spanish bilingual preferred.
  • Initiative and Independence: Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Professional Standards: Comfort Medical employees are required to conduct business to the highest ethical and professional standards; comply with applicable laws and regulations, the Advamed Code of Ethics on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals, and company policies.
