Territory Sales & Business Development Manager - RMDR Drives Services

Your role and responsibilities

In this position, you will be tasked with driving revenue growth through the strategic planning and execution of the Motion Services (MOSE) strategy for ABB Drives and Motors within your designated region. The Regional Sales Executive will be accountable for MOSE's sales performance in their territory and will implement the strategic framework to achieve business objectives. You will collaborate with various teams, including delivery, portfolio, customer support, and sales, to align customer expectations with ABB Services offerings. Your efforts will focus on both the distribution network and existing clientele to promote optimal service solutions across diverse service verticals. We have multiple openings in the following regions: Midwest, Great Lakes, and Northeast. The work model for this role is: #LI - Remote. This position contributes to the Motion Service division for the Midwest, Great Lakes, and Northeast regions. Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Achieving sales targets for drives/motors services in your assigned territory and developing key account strategies.
• Maintaining a strong focus on end-user needs while collaborating with the Channel sales team on complex opportunities.
• Providing insights to Portfolio, Operations, and other teams regarding competitive activities, customer needs, and areas for improvement.
• Cultivating productive relationships at various levels within customer organizations.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of sales experience in a complex industrial distribution environment
  • Background in sales and applications related to Low Voltage Drives/Motors in the industrial sector
  • Knowledge of products and markets in Drive/Motor Services
  • Experience managing both transactional and recurring revenue streams
  • Strong skills in analysis, effective communication, leadership, collaboration, problem-solving, accountability, and presentation
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as SalesForce or similar
  • Proven track record of delivering expected results
  • Willingness to travel 50% within the region
  • Must possess work authorization to be employed by ABB in the US.
