Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a driven professional to oversee and guide ELIP's field sales districts and areas. This position entails strategizing and implementing sales initiatives to maximize profitable volume while keeping selling costs within acceptable limits. ELIP is renowned for producing electrical construction materials for commercial projects, including products designed for service applications and environments prone to moisture and corrosion.
• Lead Sales Team: Strategically direct District Managers, Area Managers, and Sales Account Executives (SAEs) to ensure efficient and profitable sales activities based on potential.
• Analyze and Recommend: Evaluate areas of responsibility to suggest modifications in sales force staffing, assignments, and activities to optimize profitable volume while reducing selling costs.
• Develop Field Sales Plan: Collaborate with the Vice President of Sales to create an annual Field Sales Plan that aligns with ELIP's overall strategy to meet sales objectives.
• Manage Growth and Market Share: Balance revenue growth with effective pricing strategies to enhance market share.
• Customer and Partner Management: Supervise a diverse array of customers, channel partners, and sales teams to strengthen market position.
• Portfolio and Market Complexity: Navigate the increasing intricacies in product offerings, market segments, and customer demographics.
• Talent Management: Attract, nurture, retain, and deploy top talent within the sales organization.
• Solution Selling: Emphasize differentiating, bundling, and selling solutions tailored to meet customer needs and challenges.
• Team Leadership: Build and lead a diverse and dynamic sales team, fostering a culture of high performance.
• Contribute to Product Development: Encourage input from field sales into new product development and enhancements to existing products.
• Sales Planning and Forecasting: Formulate sales plans, forecasts, and objectives for the targeted customer base, providing relevant market insights to the Vice President and Product Marketing Managers. The successful candidate should reside in the Gulf states area of the US and have proximity to a major airport.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Technical Sales from an accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Industrial Product Sales.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Sales Team Management.
  • 7+ years of Sales and Commercial experience, including area sales management, territory management, sales engineering, or channel management.
  • Over 5 years of experience managing direct or agent teams and senior-level sales talent, with a proven track record in designing and executing strategies through others.
  • Experience in selling to electrical or heavy industrial markets.
  • Experience in roles such as product management/marketing, custom manufacturing solutions center (CMSC), supply chain, operations, engineering, or program management.
  • Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the US.
  • This position will be responsible for managing approximately $150M in revenue and overseeing 5+ direct reports across a 5-state region.
