Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver exceptional customer service to identify the financial needs of new clients referred by Customer Service Representatives and business partners. Provide comprehensive information on all available products and assist clients in recognizing their needs and benefits. Ensure thorough follow-up with customers.
  2. Assist the Branch Manager in evaluating monthly sales performance. Identify discrepancies from the budget and aid in recommending and executing adjustments to sales and marketing strategies.
  3. Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and federal regulations to achieve satisfactory branch audits. Maintain confidentiality of all customer records and documents.
  4. Provide valuable insights regarding all consumer loan products to assess customer needs. Process applications for consumer and equity products in accordance with lending authority limits, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  5. Support branch operations as staffing needs arise, including cash management, scheduling, performance reviews, and mentoring staff. Serve as a backup to the Customer Service Representative Supervisor.
  6. Foster a team-oriented atmosphere by utilizing leadership and coaching skills, promoting branch growth, and encouraging active participation from all staff members. Maintain an open-door policy to facilitate communication and constructive feedback.
  7. Collaborate with all bank departments to ensure policies are properly implemented and adhered to, safeguarding both employee and customer assets. Provide supervisory guidance in the absence of the Branch Manager and assist with customer transactions as necessary.
  8. Participate in all required branch meetings, bank business meetings, and educational opportunities.
  9. Engage actively in sales initiatives. Support the sales team by providing assistance and training to other staff members as needed. Participate in the loan processing cycle from application to closing.
  10. Oversee branch operations in the absence of the Branch Manager, including approving expenditures and other essential documents.

Supervisory Duties

  • Supervise all branch operations in the absence of the Branch Manager, including approving time sheets and other relevant documents.
  • Directly supervise Universal Bankers, Customer Service Representatives, and Customer Service Specialists.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in banking or cash handling.
  • Notary License.
  • Three and a half years of retail sales experience serving consumer or small business clients, with two years in a leadership role, or two and a half years of financial sales and service experience with at least one year in a leadership capacity.
