Position Summary:

The Retail Operations Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in overseeing and enhancing store performance. This role involves leading, training, and developing store personnel to safeguard company resources, uphold store standards, and drive sales growth while ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.

Essential Qualifications:

The following qualifications are essential for this position:

  • Minimum of two years of relevant management experience; an Associate Degree is preferred or equivalent education and experience.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting safety regulations, operational instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to compose routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective communication skills for addressing groups of customers or team members.
  • Competence in performing calculations involving discounts, commissions, and other financial metrics.
  • Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in standardized situations.
  • Food Safety Certification is required.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, and lift objects as necessary.
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, and color vision.
  • Exposure to various weather conditions and moderate noise levels is expected.

Key Responsibilities:

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading and supervising store team members.
  • Executing supervisory responsibilities in line with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Conducting interviews, hiring, and training new associates; planning and directing work assignments; evaluating performance; and addressing employee concerns.
  • Maintaining store conditions to meet company standards, including sanitation and safety compliance.
  • Driving sales and profitability initiatives.
  • Fostering a collaborative team environment to enhance morale and communication.
  • Meeting or exceeding productivity and payroll objectives.
  • Managing inventory levels and minimizing shrinkage.
  • Building strong relationships with support staff and vendors.
  • Overseeing recruitment, development, and training of employees while identifying potential leaders.
  • Adhering to human resource policies and relevant laws.
  • Staying informed about competitive activities in the local market.
  • Upholding high standards of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Ensuring proper use and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
  • Engaging in community involvement initiatives.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
