Client Relationship Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented professional to become a part of our organization. The Member Relationship Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring that our members' financial needs are met through comprehensive assessments and tailored recommendations of our products and services, aimed at achieving both immediate and long-term financial objectives. This position involves generating leads, fostering new relationships, and nurturing existing member connections while delivering an exceptional member experience.

Sales and Business Development:
- Strong negotiation, sales, and relationship management skills are essential.
- Demonstrated success in prospecting, developing a sales pipeline, and closing deals.
- Identify, recommend, and promote suitable GTE Financial products and services to cultivate engaged financial relationships.
- Attract new members through various channels to support the credit union's growth.
- Collaborate within a team environment to create effective retention strategies for both new and existing members.
- Generate referrals for credit union services such as:
- Investments
- Insurance
- Business Solutions
- Mortgages
- Proven negotiation, sales, and relationship-building capabilities are critical.
- Track record of successfully prospecting and managing sales opportunities.
- Professional demeanor to foster a collaborative team atmosphere.
- Manage the sales floor by welcoming members, directing them appropriately, and ensuring their needs are addressed.
- Collect information, analyze data, and educate members on relevant products/services for effective resolutions.
- Exhibit sound judgment in evaluating loan applications through detailed review and underwriting.
- Comply with audit and regulatory procedures while maintaining high service standards for our members.
- Identify potential risks for credit union losses through vigilant observation of transactions.
- Collaborate with Community Development Officers to strengthen community relationships and partnerships.
- Facilitate member financial transactions, including originating, processing, and closing consumer loan products.
- Assist with mortgages by identifying suitable products, initiating processes, and coordinating with internal partners and members for a seamless experience.
- Adhere to credit union policies and compliance regulations, ensuring security standards are met.
- Complete required training related to sales and service responsibilities for staff.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous education for personal and professional growth to better serve our members.
- Participate in assigned meetings, conference calls, and events.
- Possess knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and other relevant federal regulations.
- Meet qualifications for NMLS registration as per the Safe Act.
- Location: Community Financial Center
- Hours: Monday - Friday (9:00 am to 6:00 pm)
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution; some college coursework preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in the financial sector or a related field, or a combination of education and experience.
- Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are preferred.
