Vice President of Sales Leadership

We are seeking an experienced and driven Vice President of Sales to join our team at MassMutual. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build and lead a sales team, identify market potentials, craft sales plans, and justify those plans to upper management.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit, Train, and Develop a Sales Team: Lead a team of sales professionals to achieve sales goals and objectives.
- Deliver Sales Presentations: Develop and deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
- Maintain Client Relationships: Meet with key clients to maintain relationships, negotiate, and close deals.
- Coordinate Sales Efforts: Coordinate liaison between sales department and other sales-related units.
- Manage Expenditures: Analyze and control expenditures of the division to conform to budgetary requirements.
- Valid Life & Health License: Must have a valid Life & Health license, Series 7, and Series 66.
- Education: Must have a Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in a sales role, preferably within the finance or insurance industry.
- Sales Track Record: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving sales growth in a business.
- Leadership Qualities: Strong leadership qualities with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Market Understanding: Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- MBA or Equivalent: MBA or equivalent qualification would be a valuable asset.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience at MassMutual or a similar industry firm will be considered a plus.
- Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills, proven track record of successfully pitching for new business.
- Market Acumen: High level of acumen about changing market scenarios and potential business risks.
- Technological Awareness: Awareness and understanding of latest technological improvements applicable to the financial sector.
