Position Title: Senior Community Living Manager

Department: Community Living Services (Residential)

Reports To: Regional Director of Community Living Services

Employment Status: Administrative Exempt

Role Summary: The Senior Community Living Manager is responsible for developing resources for the individuals served, ensuring that personal goals are met, and maintaining high standards of care. This role involves regular communication with individuals, direct support professionals (DSPs), families, and the Program Director to facilitate problem-solving and support.

Qualifications:

Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in social services with a minimum of three years of supervisory experience.

Preferred: DDP designation.

Licenses/Certifications: Valid GA Driver's License and vehicle insurance; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

Supervisory Duties: Oversees Direct Support Professionals and other assigned paraprofessional staff.

Key Responsibilities:

I. Leadership

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations applicable to Community Living Arrangements.
  • Uphold UCP policies regarding behavior management and emergency response.
  • Protect the rights of clients and families as defined by agency standards.
  • Facilitate person-centered planning by coordinating monthly activity calendars aligned with individual support plans (ISPs).
  • Manage transportation and supervision for residents as per individual programs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities and resident needs.
  • Conduct training on appropriate attire and ensure the well-being of residents.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate staff performance in collaboration with HR.
  • Organize quarterly household meetings to address concerns and celebrate achievements.

II. Financial Oversight

  • Ensure budget compliance for staffing, food, and supplies.
  • Approve employee timecards and manage overtime effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of individual spending and submit monthly reconciliations.

III. Health and Safety Compliance

  • Conduct monthly inspections to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Oversee evacuation drills and emergency preparedness plans.

IV. Administrative Duties

  • Ensure staff compliance with training requirements and maintain updated employee files.
  • Respond promptly to communications and maintain thorough documentation.

V. Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain professionalism and set appropriate boundaries while working with consumers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
