Job Summary

Standing Together to End Sexual Assault (STESA) is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Training Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our crisis intervention team, you will provide critical support to survivors of sexual assault and their loved ones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and facilitate comprehensive crisis intervention trainings in English and Spanish, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Screen and interview applicants for crisis intervention training, assessing their suitability for the role.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of volunteer staff during trainings, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Update the crisis intervention training manual regularly, ensuring it remains relevant and effective.
  • Conduct training sessions for professional and community organizations, as well as for individuals who interact with survivors of sexual assault.
  • Provide crisis and long-term counseling, advocacy, and accompaniment services to clients, adhering to an empowerment model.
  • Offer coverage on open shifts and serve as a backup to the 24-hour hotline, ensuring seamless support to those in need.
  • Conduct case management services, evaluating the effectiveness and appropriateness of provided services.
  • Prepare statistical data for reports required by funding sources, demonstrating the impact of our work.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or a related field.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Experience in training development and facilitation, with a focus on crisis intervention and support services.
  • Understanding of issues affecting marginalized communities and the ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation, with the ability to drive safely and comply with all applicable laws.
  • Ability to work unusual and varied hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
