Position SummaryMNS is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator / Office Engineer to offer vital administrative and coordination support for our Construction Management projects and teams. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of civil engineering principles and industry practices.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain comprehensive records and documentation for projects and programs.
- Review daily reports from inspectors regarding quantities, contractor progress, and as-built data.
- Analyze schedules and facilitate problem resolution as needed.
- Prepare and review monthly construction cost estimates.
- Assist in monitoring internal project controls and project administration.
- Track project timelines and schedules.
- Support issue resolution processes.
- Contribute to claims documentation efforts.
- Assist in the preparation of Change Orders and related correspondence.
- Ensure the upkeep of project log sheets and files.
- Coordinate effectively with utilities, contractors, agencies, and the public.
- Act as project/program manager when required.
- Conduct periodic inspections of construction activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Certification:
- Associate's degree in construction management, project management, or a related field. An additional three years of relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement.
- A valid California Class C driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is necessary.
Minimum Experience:
- Up to one year of specialized training in building codes, mathematics, or engineering technology.
- Five or more years of experience in construction or civil engineering project administration, including significant interaction with public agencies, contractors, utilities, and the general public; or an equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating successful performance of essential job functions.
Required Skills:
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
