Strategic Business Program Manager

Location: Remote

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Oversight: Direct and oversee various IT initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with established scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Project Planning: Develop and sustain comprehensive project schedules, resource distribution, and risk management strategies.
  • Team Coordination: Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams to guarantee timely project deliverables.
  • Progress Tracking: Monitor project milestones, conduct meetings, document minutes, and ensure follow-up actions are executed.

Presentation and Communication:

  • Craft high-quality PowerPoint presentations that convey intricate business challenges, project updates, and solutions to senior management.
  • Communicate project developments, risks, and challenges effectively to stakeholders.
  • Lead meetings and presentations, ensuring clarity and precision in information delivery.

Financial Oversight:

  • Formulate and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
  • Monitor and report on project financials, including variance assessments and forecasting.
  • Align project expenditures with overarching program objectives and financial goals.

Vendor Relations:

  • Establish and execute a robust Vendor Management strategy that aligns with organizational objectives and industry standards.
  • Maintain a centralized repository of vendor information, including contracts and performance metrics.
  • Foster strong relationships with vendors and external partners.
  • Oversee vendor performance and adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Lead a team conducting regular vendor evaluations to enhance performance and ensure alignment with project goals.

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Inspire, mentor, and guide project teams, promoting a culture of collaboration and high performance.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure project objectives align with business strategies.
  • Act as a primary contact for project-related inquiries and issue resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT program/project management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in crafting impactful PowerPoint presentations for executive audiences.
  • Strong financial management capabilities, including budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., PMP, Agile, MS Project).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in establishing Vendor Management Organizations (VMO).
  • Background in vendor management, including contract negotiation and performance assessment.
