Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Grants & Contracts Administrator to facilitate proposal review and submission for research funding, process grant awards and contracts, and manage sponsored awards in accordance with sponsor and university policies.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with research administration support services across the campus and university system. As a Grants & Contracts Administrator, you will be responsible for facilitating pre-award lifecycle processes, including proposal review and submission in institutional proposal routing forms/tools and systems, as well as Federal proposal portals.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate proposal review and submission for research funding, process grant awards and contracts, and manage sponsored awards in accordance with sponsor and university policies.
  • Work closely with research administration support services across the campus and university system.
  • Bachelor's degree plus five years of experience in grant and contract administration, with knowledge of federal, state & general funding agency rules and regulations.
  • Experience in pre-award grant and contract administration in a higher education or non-profit setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with faculty, staff, and individuals outside the University.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure of deadlines, with strong math skills.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of standard contract terms, PeopleSoft financials, and institutional electronic research systems.
  • Knowledge of National Science Foundation, Department of Defense, Department of Energy and National Institutes of Health proposals and awards.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as excellent benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
