Job Title: Director of Development

The Director of Development is a key member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County team, responsible for building organization visibility, corporate and community engagement, individual prospecting and engagement, event logistic management, and marketing. The Advancement Department supports the mission of the organization by raising funds, marketing, and donor relations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Corporate and Community Engagement: Promote and assist with mobile events and programming, develop and manage corporate partnerships, and monitor funding opportunities.
  • Individual Prospect Research and Engagement: Identify, research, and build relationships with individual donors, providing an excellent donor experience.
  • Foundation Prospect Research, Proposal Writing, and Development: Implement strategies to secure funds from foundations, update donor database systems, and upload grant award letters and communication.
  • Event Logistic Management: Support events from conception to execution, create engaging environments, and maintain records for successful completion.
  • Marketing: Support direct mail strategy, utilize the website for donor-centered messaging, and develop written and designed content for printed marketing collateral.
Requirements:
  • Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's degree required or equivalent professional experience, with fundraising or sales experience.
  • Minimum Qualifications: Ability to work regular business hours, persuade or influence others effectively, prioritize effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with donor database, knowledge of local community, and work experience with or program knowledge of the Boys & Girls Club Movement.
Benefits:
  • Minimum starting pay: $65,000 yearly, with benefits including health, vision, and dental coverage, 401(K) plan, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, and short and long-term disability.
