About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of Development to join our team at the University of North Texas System. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development efforts for the College of Nursing and contribute to the growth and success of our institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive development plan to secure major gifts and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, with a goal of raising at least $1 million per year.
  • Collaborate with the Dean's leadership team to advocate for external support for the college's priorities.
  • Coordinate and manage special alumni/donor activities and events for the College.
  • Prepare written development materials, including case statements, proposals, and fundraising initiative/campaign related materials.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and seven (7) years related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of philanthropy and fundraising principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining effective professional relationships with internal and external constituents.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a portfolio of major gift prospects and closing gifts at $25,000 level or higher.
