Position Overview:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee the financial operations of the hospital, which encompasses accounting, budgeting, audits, tax, and various financial planning activities. The CFO will work collaboratively with department heads and system management to develop and implement effective policies and procedures, as well as short- and long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage overall financial operations of the hospital, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide financial leadership and support to hospital managers, directors, and officers.
  • Contribute financial insights in planning new services to enhance revenue generation.
  • Identify opportunities for cost management and improvement in collaboration with executive leadership.
  • Analyze and promote organization-wide performance improvement initiatives.
  • Represent the hospital in various meetings, including those with medical staff and community stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with at least 12 credit hours in Accounting from an accredited institution; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive managerial experience in financial/accounting roles within an acute care environment is required.
  • Proficiency in both written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships with hospital staff and the community.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding personal, financial, or medical information.

Licenses/Certifications:
CPA certification is preferred.
