POSITION SUMMARY: Oversee and implement the strategic marketing and product management initiatives within the Summit Outdoors and Pro Products divisions. Establish objectives and targets aligned with the overall corporate mission.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Brand Manager will play a crucial role in enhancing sales and profitability for designated brands and product lines within Summit Outdoors and Pro Products. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Marketing to formulate objectives and strategies for assigned brands, consistently achieving corporate financial, volume, and market share targets.
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of brand performance, target demographics, distribution channels, clientele, and competitive landscape to craft strategic marketing plans.
  • Lead marketing agencies and work closely with sales teams to design and implement marketing campaigns across various channels for Direct to Consumer and Distributor/Dealer models.
  • Manage the product portfolio lifecycle, from new product enhancements to maximizing profitability, including recommending SKU rationalization and exit strategies.
  • Develop business case recommendations for marketing and product improvements, utilizing insights from consumers, customers, and the marketplace. Collaborate with Project Management to ensure timely and budget-compliant execution.
  • Responsible for the development and management of budgets, timelines, and performance metrics.
  • Monitor and evaluate marketing campaigns, providing regular reports to identify trends and opportunities for increasing market share.
  • Create sales materials for customer presentations and ongoing education for both customers and consumers.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry partners, influencers, and media outlets to enhance brand visibility and strengthen marketing capabilities.
  • Interpret, implement, and recommend modifications to key operational policies and procedures.
  • Support the Vice President of Marketing as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is required; an MBA is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Brand or Product Management, with a strong emphasis on Direct to Consumer marketing, or a combination of education and experience.
  • A passion for outdoor activities and/or water treatment and irrigation products is advantageous.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and ERP/MRP systems.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: While there are no direct reports, the Brand Manager will oversee external agencies and partners and lead cross-functional internal teams, collaborating with other Product and Brand Managers.
