OVERVIEW: Oversee and implement the strategic marketing and product management initiatives within the Summit Outdoors and Pro Products divisions. Establish objectives aligned with the overarching mission of the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Brand Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing sales and profitability for designated brands and product lines. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Marketing to formulate objectives and strategies for assigned brands, consistently achieving corporate financial, volume, and market share targets.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of brand performance, target demographics, distribution channels, clientele, and competitive landscape to devise strategic marketing plans.
  • Lead marketing agencies and work closely with sales teams to design and implement marketing campaigns across various channels for Direct to Consumer and Distributor/Dealer market strategies.
  • Oversee the product portfolio lifecycle, from new product development to optimizing profitability, including recommending SKU rationalization and exit strategies.
  • Develop business case recommendations for marketing and product enhancements based on consumer, customer, and market insights. Collaborate with Project Management to ensure timely and budget-compliant execution.
  • Responsible for budget development and administration, scheduling, and performance metrics.
  • Monitor and evaluate marketing campaigns, providing regular insights to identify trends and opportunities for market share growth.
  • Create sales materials for customer presentations and ongoing education for clients and consumers.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with industry partners, influencers, and media outlets to boost brand visibility and enhance marketing efforts.
  • Interpret, implement, and suggest modifications to key operational policies and procedures.
  • Support the Vice President of Marketing as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is required; an MBA is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Direct to Consumer marketing, Brand or Product Management, or a combination of education and experience is required.
  • A strong passion for the outdoor lifestyle and/or products related to water treatment and irrigation is preferred.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and ERP/MRP systems.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not have direct reports but will manage external agencies and partners while leading cross-functional internal teams. Collaboration with other Product and Brand Managers is essential.
