JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Financial Analyst is accountable for the comprehensive oversight of the financial documentation of the company's Affiliates. This role involves supervising and managing the entry of all financial transactions, ensuring the precision of all financial records, and delivering timely and accurate management reports. The position also encompasses financial planning, analysis (FP&A), and budgeting for designated Affiliates. The analyst will act as a consultant for financial, accounting, and research matters pertaining to the Affiliates. Responsibilities include conducting due diligence and technical assessments for current strategic investments and initiatives, as well as proposed ventures and special projects related to Affiliates.

POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and manage the financial reporting for the assigned affiliate entities, including supervision of necessary tax filings.
  • Assist in the monthly preparation of consolidated financial statements.
  • Develop annual budgets and forecasts for assigned entities based on inputs gathered through partner meetings.
  • Support the annual financial statement audit process.
  • Supervise risk control assessments of key operational activities and evaluate internal controls related to financial reporting.
  • Prepare and present financial impact analyses to senior management, including analyses to support the growth of existing entities, the establishment of financial best practices, and new investment opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance and advocate for continuous improvement of standardized administrative processes for the Affiliates.
  • Collaborate with affiliate operations team members, company personnel, and management on various operational and financial matters.
  • Establish financial frameworks for new affiliate companies.
  • Provide support and oversight for affiliates' auto and equipment leasing activities.
  • Serve as Assistant Treasurer on certain boards.
  • Act as a resource or consultant to the Affiliates regarding accounting, tax, financial reporting, and business issues related to existing or proposed arrangements.
  • Complete additional projects as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Education and/or Experience
  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or finance with a minimum of two years of accounting emphasis is required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is mandatory.
  • Three to five years of accounting experience is essential.
  • Associate in Insurance Accounting and Finance (AIAF) designation and/or Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AS400 is advantageous.
