Position Overview:

As a Project Manager, you will collaborate with our team to identify potential project risks and devise effective mitigation strategies. Your responsibilities will include preparing budgets, bids, contracts, funding requests, and communication plans. You will oversee, coordinate, and schedule project execution in partnership with our clients, ensuring timely delivery of solutions. Your role will involve acting as a primary contact for large-scale projects and addressing complex customer needs.

In this capacity, you will serve as the intermediary between Engineering and Technical Sales, documenting and refining product requirements, milestones, and deliverables, translating these into actionable project plans. You will coordinate with Engineering, Development, and Operations teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Sales, Technical Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Software Development to ensure comprehensive engineering requirements are met.
  • Develop project plans and manage projects from purchase order through to commercial operation.
  • Prepare and present project status updates to stakeholders, leadership, and external clients.
  • Effectively liaise with clients and internal cross-functional teams while managing expectations, delivery scope, timelines, risks, and resources.
  • Establish accountability and clarity in scope and timelines for each stakeholder.
  • Prepare project status reports and ensure adherence to contract specifications.
  • Maintain regular communication with Technical Sales and clients to manage expectations.
  • Coordinate field service activities efficiently.
  • Engage with equipment suppliers for technical support and commissioning management.
  • Develop tools for internal and external reporting on project health.
  • Implement tools to manage resource allocation across the organization.
  • Facilitate periodic project meetings, both internally and with clients.
  • Establish project life-cycle processes and checklists for engineering projects.
  • Monitor project costs and process change orders as necessary.
  • Identify gaps and interface with engineering, operations, development, and clients to drive resolutions.
  • Contribute to the definition and refinement of internal processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the power or renewable energy sector.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in Project Management.
  • Proven experience in successfully managing project deployments supported by functional teams in the power industry.
  • Strong written, verbal, and customer account management skills for communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions.
  • Ability to convey both technical and business information effectively.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • PMP certification is preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Office setting, primarily in cubicles.
  • Travel may be required by car, air, or train.
  • Moderate to high noise levels typical of a business office.
  • Ability to sit or stand at a computer terminal for extended periods.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision for computer work.
  • Light to moderate lifting may be necessary.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
  • Ability to manage the stress associated with travel.

Salary Range:

$79,000 - $111,400.00
