Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial and industrial (C&I) or Community solar project development.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing, developing, and overseeing solar photovoltaic (PV) projects from start to finish.
- In-depth knowledge of solar energy technologies, electrical systems, and interconnection protocols.
- Familiarity with solar energy modeling tools (e.g., PVSyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope).
- Experience in project design from both civil and electrical perspectives.
- Capability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with project management software or equivalent systems.
- Knowledge of permitting and interconnection processes for C&I or Community solar initiatives.
- Understanding of local and national renewable energy regulations and incentives.
- Experience in collaborating with stakeholders, including landowners, developers, utilities, and governmental bodies.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify, assess, and qualify potential sites for C&I or Community solar projects.
- Conduct technical feasibility assessments and create project proposals.
- Design and engineer solar PV systems, including single-line and three-line electrical schematics.
- Perform energy modeling and financial evaluations to determine project feasibility.
- Oversee project budgets and schedules.
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, construction) and external partners (utilities, contractors).
- Prepare and submit necessary permitting applications for C&I or Community solar projects.
- Assist in project construction and commissioning activities.
- Ensure all project documentation is precise and comprehensive.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in the solar industry.
