Our client is a prominent Independent Power Producer (IPP) committed to advancing sustainable energy solutions across diverse regions. Their mission is to facilitate the global shift towards sustainable energy by developing and managing renewable and clean energy initiatives that cater to the increasing demand for dependable electricity while reducing environmental impact.

Job Overview

The Renewable Energy Project Manager will:
  • Oversee and direct the development of renewable energy initiatives, concentrating on solar, wind, or battery storage technologies.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, finance, legal, and external partners to propel project development.
  • Identify, assess, and secure sites for potential renewable energy projects within the designated regions.
  • Manage the permitting and regulatory approval processes to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Formulate and implement project development strategies, encompassing feasibility studies, financial modeling, and risk evaluation.
  • Negotiate agreements with landowners, utilities, off-takers, and other pertinent stakeholders to secure essential project contracts.
  • Prepare and deliver project updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful Renewable Energy Project Manager will possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Environmental Science, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of proven experience in renewable energy project development, particularly in solar, wind, or battery storage projects.
  • Expertise in navigating the regulatory landscape and familiarity with local market dynamics.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously in a remote environment while effectively collaborating with diverse teams.
  • A solid understanding of financial modeling, risk assessment, and feasibility analysis in the context of renewable energy projects.
  • Residency in a location within the relevant regions is preferred.
