Position Overview:

We are in search of a Senior Game Capture Specialist who possesses a deep passion for gaming, exceptional patience, and strong teamwork skills. This role involves capturing high-quality video and images, which requires meticulous attention to detail and technical proficiency. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Producers, and Capture Team Managers, where effective communication is essential for our collective success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play and capture footage from 2K's major upcoming AAA titles for marketing initiatives.
  • Work alongside team members to stage gameplay that highlights the game's excitement and aesthetics.
  • Assist Capture Team Managers with project oversight, team coordination, and artistic input.
  • Lead large-scale multiplayer capture sessions, directing and choreographing gameplay scenarios.
  • Capture screenshots and video content that align with project specifications.
  • Provide technical support for in-development games, serving as a bridge between the capture and development teams.
  • Manage project timelines and allocate team resources effectively.
  • Communicate seamlessly with video editors, designers, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive branding.
  • Develop strategies for project management, including shot tracking and resource allocation.
  • Offer constructive feedback on the compositional quality of captured assets.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

We seek experienced gamers with a background in capture who demonstrate leadership and an eye for high-quality visual storytelling. The successful candidate will set a visual standard for the team and provide mentorship. A solid understanding of photography, cinematography, and gameplay capture technology is highly desirable.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of art, composition, lighting, and action.
  • Proficiency in photography and cinematography.
  • Ability to consistently produce high-quality assets that authentically represent the product.
  • Technical expertise with PCs and gaming consoles.
  • Experience across various genres and platforms, from FPS to RPG.
  • Proficient controller skills in FPS titles.
  • Familiarity with video capture hardware/software, including Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong leadership abilities and skill in providing and receiving constructive feedback.

Additional Skills:

  • Basic video editing using Adobe Suites.
  • Image retouching capabilities.
  • Knowledge of Unreal 5 Sequencer.

Education:

A minimum of 4 years of game capture experience with AAA titles is required, along with a high school diploma or equivalent.
