Are you passionate about gaming and community engagement? Our client, a prominent player in the gaming industry, is looking for a talented Community Manager to enhance player interaction and brand visibility. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding writing skills and a solid background in community management within the gaming sector. This role is essential for fostering player relationships and driving engagement through strategic communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and publish informative patch notes, updates on live services, and maintenance announcements across various community platforms.
  • Engage with players on community channels and during events, analyzing performance metrics to inform ongoing improvements.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with community partners, including fan sites and external forums.
  • Act as a representative for player feedback, compiling detailed reports on community insights and trends for internal stakeholders.
  • Promote a welcoming environment by moderating user-generated content and ensuring community guidelines are upheld.
  • Create and manage unique content initiatives, including events and livestreams, to enhance player engagement.
  • Monitor community growth and performance, providing actionable insights to drive continuous innovation.
  • Keep players informed about game updates and live service changes through well-crafted communications.
  • Maintain strong connections with community partners and volunteer networks.
  • Advocate for community interests across departments, ensuring alignment with the overall community strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of community management experience in the gaming industry.
  • Proven track record in writing community updates and patch notes (samples required).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with community platforms such as Discord, Reddit, and Steam.
  • Familiarity with livestreaming on platforms like YouTube and Twitch.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of game marketing and production processes.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of social media strategies for community building.
  • Experience in planning and executing community initiatives on various timelines.
  • Ability to document processes clearly for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • General knowledge of web post formatting and CMS systems.
  • Bilingual in Korean and English is a plus.
