After the success of our initial VR title, we raised our ambitions and ventured into The Walking Dead universe in VR. The outcome was the genre-defining hit, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners. We are currently engaged in developing several highly anticipated VR games for emerging platforms that we are eager for you to experience.

The Game Director is responsible for steering the creative vision of a game project team, overseeing all elements to drive a cohesive concept across disciplines, and coordinating team efforts to achieve shared objectives. Reporting to the VP Creative, the Game Director will collaborate closely with studio and project leadership to bring the game to fruition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide technical, aesthetic, and narrative aspects while reviewing designs for mechanics and content throughout the development process.
  • Define and advocate for game pillars, player journey, quality expectations, and key deliverables for the assigned game.
  • Regularly present game direction and strategy to project stakeholders and publishing partners.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions with various teams to foster creativity.
  • Collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers to establish objectives, uphold standards, and create comprehensive documentation.
  • Participate in producing pitch materials for internal presentations.
  • Manage discipline leads and create conditions conducive to their success, working with producers and studio leadership to secure necessary support and resources.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications teams.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in the gaming industry, with 5+ years in a Creative Director or Game Director role and a portfolio of shipped games.
  • Proven track record in establishing and maintaining design direction and successfully shipping a game, preferably AAA.
  • Skilled in providing feedback that empowers team members to excel in their work.
  • Experience in articulating a game vision to teams and partners.
  • Proficient in guiding multidisciplinary teams to enhance storytelling and gameplay experiences.
  • Experience with developing and launching games using Unreal Engine.
  • Preferred experience with melee combat or fighting games.

The salary range for this position is competitive and may vary based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and relevant expertise, among other factors. The indicated range is for base salary only and does not reflect the total compensation package, including bonuses and benefits.
