About the Job

Netflix Game Studio (Blue) is on the lookout for a driven Lead Game Animator to assist in the development of a new game and intellectual property. This role presents an exciting chance to design a captivating gaming experience that resonates with a broad audience. Together, we will enhance and refine pipelines and processes, characters and environments, as well as animation and motion styles. Your contributions will encompass both individual tasks and feature leadership, ensuring processes are seen through to fruition. This position involves collaboration across various disciplines to bring innovative gameplay to life using Unreal Engine.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and document character identity and personality through posing, timing, and performance.

• Collaborate with technical artists, engineers, and designers to devise creative development solutions.

• Create animations for characters and creatures from initial concept to final implementation utilizing Unreal Engine.

• Contribute to the enhancement of new development processes, focusing on quality and efficiency.

• Engage with teammates by providing and receiving constructive feedback aligned with the team's collective objectives.

• Participate in playtesting sessions.

Expertise Required:
• Crafting gameplay animations with custom character rigs.

• A profound understanding of animation principles and their application in game development.

• Experience with modern engines, such as Unreal or Unity.

• Implementation experience within Unity and/or Unreal or similar game engines.

• Strong proficiency in working with custom character rigs.

Our compensation framework is based solely on an annual salary; we do not offer bonuses. Each year, you have the flexibility to choose how much of your compensation you prefer in salary versus stock options.

To establish your personal top-of-market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation within the market range.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $600,000.


Netflix offers a comprehensive benefits package, including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits.

We also provide paid leave of absence programs.

Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be utilized for vacation, holidays, and sick leave.
